National College Tours - 2015 -2020

Bi-annual college tour that I built from the ground up in 2015. I managed everything from initial outreach to universities, staffing, event design and activation, and post tour recaps. I worked with each university to find the best event fit (sporting events, week of welcome, other scheduled events, or to create our own on campus activation in the busiest areas available). 

 

Hydro Flask has visited over 45 respected colleges and universities across the country. The tour tapped into the network that college students provide amongst their peers and family. Knowing that college students not only spread the word to their friends but also their siblings and parents made this tour very successful in growing brand recognition across the country. By seeding over 15,000 bottles in target markets we have utilized these students to spread the word about Hydro Flask. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Building the bi-annual national tour from the ground up 

  • Researching and vetting universities in key markets

  • Outreach to targeted departments (Recreation centers, Outdoor Clubs / programs, Athletic departments)

  • Extensive logistical planning to visit as many schools as possible while also incorporating the larger regional events for the partnership program

  • For the first two years, I managed simultaneous tours (East and West coast) while also leading and activating the west coast tour

    • I drove 14,000 miles in four months in addition to the tasks listed here​

  • Trained and managed the team of brand ambassadors 

  • Managed and tracked the product sample inventory

  • Visited key retailers for product training and surprise and delight events

  • Load in and load out for all events

  • Submitted recaps for each event and provided feedback as needed

  • Established and maintained longstanding and mutually beneficial relationships with prominent universities
